Key takeaways

  • Holding rewards are optional. You choose an amount and a holding period in the app.
  • The flexible option can be released at any time; a fixed holding period runs for 3 or 12 months.
  • Rates are always stated as maximum values ('up to'), are variable, depend on asset and holding period, are shown in the app before you confirm and are not guaranteed.
  • Assets set aside remain exposed to market risk.

What holding rewards are — in the SCHWARZMAN app

Holding rewards let you set aside part of your balance for a chosen period and receive periodic rewards of up to the rate shown in the app, credited to your wallet monthly. It is an optional feature and has no effect on how you use your card.

How rewards are shown

Before you confirm, the app shows the current maximum rate ('up to'), the holding period and an illustrative monthly reward. Rates can change over time; the terms that apply to a fixed position are those shown when you confirm it. No figure is a promise of returns.

Frequently asked questions

No. Holding rewards are entirely optional.
Can I spend funds I have set aside?
With the flexible option you can release the funds at any time; they are available once processed. Funds in a fixed holding period become available again at the end of the selected period.
